In a Microsoft Teams Direct Routing (DR) architecture, Imagicle Digital Fax and other apps can be easily interfaced to the local DR SBC via Secure SIP trunk.
DR SBCs are always visible on Internet, while Imagicle is providing different SBCs, with public IP addressing, to route transactions in the following macro-regions:

The SBC-to-SBC routing happens through a Secure SIP trunk running over Internet OTT and using TLS 1.2, without authentication. SIP peering requires a Root and Intermediate Digital Certificates signed by a Certification Authority, provided by Imagicle upon request. Self-signed certificated are not supported.
On DR SBC, you just have to add a route for each fax DID, pointing to above mentioned Secure SIP trunk. Therefore routing does not pass through MS-Teams Cloud.
