Cisco UCM Global Setup

In this article we are listing all the required configurations to apply on both CUCM and UCX Suite to properly interface each other, regardless the Imagicle apps in scope.

Imagicle requires an Application User to establish a communication with CUCM via AXL and TAPI.

Create an Access Control Group including all required roles.

Create the AppUser “ImagicleCTI” and add all phone devices to be CTI-monitored.

IP Phones who need to leverage Imagicle Phone Services must have some specific permissions, granted at Enterprise level.

Imagicle leverages an External Call Control Profile to provide some features like announcements playback, Caller ID display and Phone Lock control.

Create a dedicated ECC in CUCM

Enable CURRI-based Caller ID feature | Cisco-CallManager-ECC-Configuration-for-Contact-Manager

Allow Imagicle UCX Suite to retrieve rich presence status from Cisco Unified Presence Server (required for UCX Console only).

Add UCX Suite IP address(es) in the list of ACL trusted instances.

Choose where to redirect the users' authentication, based on above chosen data source. Apply web sessions tuning.

Establish a connection to Cisco UPS to retrieve real-time rich presence status (required for UCX Console only).
